Despite picking up three seats in the 2024 Colorado House of Representatives, the Democrats maintained a firm grip on both chambers, holding a 43-22 majority in the House and a 23-12 majority in the Senate. They used these majorities to attempt to shove through a progressive legislative agenda. While the Democrats succeeded in passing some bills, others were weakened or defeated due to opposition from Republicans and ordinary Coloradans.
