Voting 7-6, Council members rejected Rank Choice Voting for November’s ballot. Denver County Republican Party efforts to highlight RCV concerns were key to the outcome. It may return, however, this ensures the next Denver Mayoral election avoids RCV, allowing voters time to witness the effects of electing Socialist Mayors in New York City and Minneapolis with RCV—and the resulting consequences.

Here’s how the voting came out, with two key swing votes—Flor Alvidrez in District 7 and Stacie Gilmore in District 11—both casting “Nay” votes.
