Become a Precinct Committee Person
What is a Precinct Committee Person?
Besides serving in the most important office, a Precinct Committee Person (PCP) — aka a Neighborhood Leader — is a grassroots volunteer who serves as a vital link between the County Republican Party and their local neighborhood. As a Precinct Committee Person, you represent the party at the neighborhood level, helping to inform, engage, and activate voters in your area. PCPs are the backbone of our movement.
Denver County has nine State House Districts which are led by Captains. Each House District contains Precincts.
Precincts, or neighborhoods, are represented by Precinct Committee People. House Districts and Precincts are identified by numbers. Based on your home address you can determine your House District and your Precinct. Follow the steps on the Neighborhood Leaders page.
Find a list of our current Precinct Committee Persons below. If your precinct is vacant or you would like to serve with another, please contact your House District Captain, or contact us through the Sign Up form below. We look forward to working with you!

Precinct Committee Person Duties
Selection
PCPs are elected for a two-year term at the Republican Caucus by voters in your precinct. If the position is or becomes vacant the House District Captain or County Chair may appoint someone to the position.
General Expectations
PCPs help promote and grow the local county party and work to elect Republican candidates to office. Your #1 goal is to maximize the Republican vote turn out in your precinct.
Duties in your Neighborhood (Precinct)
Get to know Republicans in your precinct by making phone calls, canvassing, or holding meetups. Work to identify, register, inform and turnout voters. Organize voters in your precinct and provide ways to become more involved.
Duties with the County Party
Participate in County Executive Committee meetings, serve as an Officer, Committee Chair or Committee Member, recruit Precinct Chairs & volunteers, work precincts and assist the County Chair as needed.
Duties within Local Elections
Serve as or recruit Republican voters to be an Election Judge at a Voter Service Polling Center. Work on Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts by distributing voter information. Mobilize voters on or before election day as needed.
Duties at Caucus
Conduct a Caucus as the temporary District Captain, completing all paperwork for the County Chair. Work with the County Chair as needed to hold the County or Senate District Caucus.
